BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Audrey Dalli
Audrey Dalli is Vice-President and Co-Owner of
Worcester Record Search, Inc., a public
records research company. She is a past
president of the Shrewsbury Garden Club, and
former Vice-Regent of the Col. Timothy Bigelow
Chapter of the Daughters of the American
Revolution. A member of the Massachusetts
Genealogical Council, she enjoys researching
her ancestors and completing her family tree.
Gardening and bird-watching are her favorite
pastimes.
Gail Aslanian:
Gail Aslanian is a retired Elementary Art
Teacher from Michigan and currently the
President of the Shrewsbury Garden Club.
Upon moving to Massachusetts in 1998, she
and her husband began the restoration and
renovation of their 1776 barn and house
situated on 6 acres which she lovingly
maintains. Gail served on the Board of the
Shrewsbury Historical Society , currently
serves on the Shrewsbury Historical
Commission and is a Town Meeting Member.
Jane Umphrey:
Jane Umphrey is a member and past president
of the Shrewsbury Garden Club and is an
active gardener at her homes in Shrewsbury
and West Harwich on Cape Cod. She is also
committed to planting and maintaining public
areas in town and her Adopt-A-Plot at Main
Circle.
Margie White
Margie White is a Realtor®, Keller Williams
Realty and a member of the Board of Directors,
Dress for Success Worcester. She is also the
Committee Chair of Publicity for The
Shrewsbury Garden Club.
Bonnie O'Brien
Bonnie O'Brien is a retired Director of the
Shrewsbury Public Library. She has worked in
libraries for 40 years. An active member of the
Shrewsbury Garden Club for 20 years, she
loves working in her gardens, and volunteers
at Tower Hill Botanical Garden.
Gail Claflin:
Gail Claflin's life has revolved around her
family, church, and community, as well her
career in accounting and supporting her
husband's businesses. Now retired, she and
her husband travel to Florida and enjoy
antique cars. Her passion for gardening led
her to the Shrewsbury Garden Club, where she
serves on the Scholarship committee, and as
Clerk of the Shrewsbury Fragrant Garden, Inc.
Valerie Gannon:
Valerie Gannon, a retired Registered Nurse, is
a lifelong Shrewsbury resident. She has been
married for 52 years, and has three sons and
four grandchildren. She receives great
satisfaction from her gardens, her involvement
in the Shrewsbury Garden Club and
volunteering at a free medical clinic in
Shrewsbury.
Connie Davis
Connie Davis, a life-long resident of
Shrewsbury, is an avid gardner, and has won
several awards for showing her african violets.
In addition to gardening, she enjoys knitting
and quilting, and currently teaches a knitting
class at the Senior Center.
Alison Ricker
Alison Gray Ricker is a passionate gardener
and has been a member of the Shrewsbury
Garden Club for sixteen years where she has
served several terms with Community
Beautification allowing her to work within the
community for streetscape and Adopt A Plot
projects. She is a retired commercial and
residential designer and enjoys substitute
teaching in Early Childhood Education. Alison
is married to a lifelong Shrewsbury attorney
and is a partner in their industrial and
commercial real estate.
Peter Yablonski
Peter Yablonski is a passionate Landscape
Designer and has been professionally
practicing design since 2000 while building
landscapes since 1992. After graduating with a
Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture
from the University of Massachusetts he has
worked with several design/build firms. His
project scope has had a broad scale, with
clients ranging from Residential, Corporate
and Institutional backgrounds with project
locations up and down the east coast. He has
been a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury and
when not in the design office, he can be found
on a mountain, skiing, backpacking or shooting
photos with his family.
Mary Jordalen
Longtime Shrewsbury resident Mary Jordalen
is a retired school teacher who has served on
the Housing Authority since 1985, is currently a
Town Meeting member and is also a World War
II veteran.
A member of the Shrewsbury Historical Society,
she loves being active in town affairs and
supports the beautification of the town
through the endeavors of the Shrewsbury
Garden Club.
Anne Trotto
Longtime Shrewsbury resident Anne Trotto is
well known for her skill as a decorator and
designer; her home has been featured on the
Shrewsbury Christmas Hour Tour to the delight
of many. She spends her time gardening in
Shrewsbury and on the Cape, and is actively
involved in town beautification as a member of
the Shrewsbury Garden Club.
Thomas Porter
Thomas L. Porter, CPA is Treasurer for The
Shrewsbury Fragrant Garden. Tom is an
Associate Dean at the Hult International
Business School and independently provides
forensic and traditional accounting services to
a broad array of clients. Tom is thrilled to be
associated with The Shrewsbury Fragrant
Garden and looks forward to helping the
organization achieve its goal of providing a
public garden for the benefit of the blind and
visually disabled. Tom lives in Shrewsbury
with his wife, Helen (a Garden Club member)
and two sons Nicholas, a sophomore at Boston
University, and Mitchell, a junior at Shrewsbury
High School.
